Had the LMSS bbq on sat. Could say it was a success coz the amount of ppl turned up wasnt very low but then again wasnt that big. Perhaps the post grads had something to do thats why they didnt manage to turn up. Not all but some turned up. But either way the food was good. Lucky for me the chicken turned out well. Simply taruh anything i could think off and hope for the best. Which was good since someone said it was pasar malam standard....meaning can sell lah hahahaha.

Amazing we didnt burn down the bbq set....used to burn down the set every year. Maybe this year is an exception. XD

got some new juniors for lincoln which is good coz the new juniors intake is kinda big this year......8/9 ppl like dat.

3 assignments given out on the 1st week.....amazing how the lecturers try to destroy ur social life when ur in ur final year. but i guess its for the better to prepare me for work life.....and i am lookin forward to it so that itself is weird.

had bbq with the church on sunday and made garlic bread. oh and made claypot chicken again though i havent cooked in a while so it was a bit outta proportion. a bit salty lah haha.

the past few days, weeks, months but not years have been a soul searching process for me.....

looking at what i have done, what i am doing and what i am gonna do. but most importantly where i am now. how things have changed. suddenly from 1 person to another. a change in character. perhaps i am losing my childishness......perhaps not. perhaps my view on life has come to me as a shock so back i dont enjoy life. who knows. who knows.

i keep saying who knows. maybe i know but i dont want to accept it or i want someone to point out something to me.

it takes me such a long time to learn and realize some things when it takes other ppl less time. i guess everyone has their own learning pace. but i do regret that it takes me this long to learn things.

my dad is quite easy to be see or picked out from a crowd. he has another pair of specs in his shirt pocket and a pen.....never seen anyone else who does it and large frame specs. but he should do well in managing the Damansara Utama state seat as he is kinda enthusiastic about things and when committed he will do it until its done. but time will tell

in line 24 hours or less it would be 9/11. of course ppl remember it as the day the world shook to acts of terrorism and so on and so forth but just for tomorrow i will be doing my own little celebration or something. so yea it be my bday. 22 and counting about 3 more years and a quarter of my life would be gone.

so yesterday went to makan with the gang at Minx bar and restaurant. was kinda an expensive one where my meal totaled up to 60 bucks. convert convert would be rm 150? ouchy. started with a tiger beer, a mushroom barley entree, some kinda venison cabbage and potato and ended with a deadly hot chocolate fondant.

After 50 years.......what is next??

These lists cover a period of about 49 years since Independence Day in
Malaysia (1957):

(1) Out of all the 5 major banks in Malaysia , only one bank is own by
multi-racial, the rest are controlled by Malays.

(2) 99% of Petronas (the only one petroleum company) directors are
Malays, and the former Prime Minister work as Consultant in Petronas.

(3) 3% of Petronas employees are Chinese.

(4) 99% of 2000 Petronas gasoline stations are owned by Malays.

(5) 100% all contractors working under Petronas projects must be "bumi's
status" (Malay).

(6) 0% of non-Malays staffs are legally required in Malay's companies.
But there must be 30% Malays staffs in Chinese companies and shareholder.
Which this mean non-Malays own company needs to give their property to
Malays. And non-Malays citizen can't really own their business.

(7) 5% of all new intake for government police, nurses, army, is non-
Malays.

(8) 2% is the present Chinese staff in Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF),
drop from 40% in 1960.

(9) 2% is the percentage of non-Malays government servants in Putrajaya
( Malaysia main government office). But Malays make up 98%.

(10) 7% is the percentage of Chinese government servants in the whole
government (in 2004), drop from 30% in 1960. Only 2 position for non-
Malays in political status.

(11) 95% of government contracts are given to Malays; even it is an open
tender. Non-Malays contractors tender the lower price and use better
materials can't get the contract that government given.

(12) 100% all business licenses are controlled by Malay government e.g.
Taxi permits, Approved permits, etc. and all the license are given to
government officer families.

(13) 80% of the Chinese rice millers in Kedah (north of peninsular
Malaysia had to be sold to Malay and controlled by Bernas (Government
Org.) since 1980s. Otherwise, life is make difficult for Chinese rice
millers.

(14) 100 big companies set up, owned and managed by Chinese Malaysians
were taken over by government, and later managed by Malays since 1970's
e.g. UTC, UMBC, MISC, etc. This company now is the sole company.

(15) At least 10 Chinese owned bus companies (throughout
Malaysia,throughout 40 years) had to be sold to MARA or other Malay
transport companies due to rejection by Malay authority to Chinese
application for bus routes and rejection for their application for new
buses.

(16) 2 Chinese taxi drivers were barred from driving in Johor (South of
Peninsular Malaysia) Larkin bus station. There are about 30 taxi drivers
and 3 are Chinese in October 2004. Spoiling taxi club properties was the
reason given.

(17) 0 non-Malays are allowed to get shop lots in the new Muar (city in
south peninsular Malaysia ) bus station (November 2004).

(18) 8000 billions ringgit is the total amount the government channeled
to Malays pockets through ASB, ASN, MARA, privatization of government
agencies like Tabung Haji etc, through NEP over 34 years periods.

(19) 48 Chinese primary schools closed down since 1968 â¤" 2000

(20) 144 Tamil primary schools closed down since 1968 - 2000

(21) 2637 Malay primary schools built since 1968 - 2000

(22) 2.5% is government budget for Chinese primary schools. Tamil schools
got only 1%, Malay schools got 96.5%

(23) While a Chinese parent with RM1000 salary (monthly) cannot get
school-text-book-loan, and a Malay parent with RM2000 salary is eligible.

(24) 10 all public universities vice chancellors are Malays. And politics
in universities are held by Malays. If non-Malays want to form a politics
parties, there is no way to get approved. (25) 5% - the government
universities lecturers of non-Malay origins had been reduced from about
70% in 1965 to only 5% in 2004 with the reason Malaysia Education
Ministry give full support for Malays only.

(26) Only 5% is given to non-Malays for government scholarships over 40
years.

(27) 0 Chinese or Indians were sent to Japan and Korea under "Look East
Policy".

(28) 128 STPM (High Study / A Level) Chinese top students could not get
into the course that they aspired i.e. Medicine and doctors (in 2004).
Malays with not qualify result can get into the course.

(29) 10% place for non-bumi students for MARA science schools beginning
from year 2003, but only 7% are filled. Before that it was 100% Malays.

(30) 50 cases whereby Chinese and Indian Malaysians, are beaten up in the
National Service program since 2003.

(31) 25% is Malaysian Chinese population in 2004, drop from 45% since
1957 because government are not support non-Malays like government
support Malays.

(32) 7% is the present Malaysian Indians population (2004), a drop from
12% since 1957.

(33) 2 millions Chinese Malaysians had emigrated to overseas since 40
years ago due to unfair politics.

(34) 0.5 million Indians Malaysians had emigrated to overseas.

(35) 3 millions Indonesians had migrated into Malaysia and became
malaysian citizens with bumi's status.

(36) 600000 are the Chinese and Indians Malaysians with "red I/C" (a
temporary identity card) and were rejected repeatedly when applying for
citizenship for 40 years. Perhaps 60% of them had already passed away due
to old age. This shows racism of how easily Indonesians got their
citizenships compare with the Chinese and Indians

(37) 5% - 15% discount for a Malay to buy a house, regardless whether the
Malay is rich or poor

(38) 2% is what Chinese new villages get compare with 98% of what Malays
villages got for rural development budget..

(39) 50 road names (at least) had been change from Chinese names to other
names.

(40) 1 Dewan Gan Boon Leong (in Malacca) was altered to other name (
e.g.Dewan Serbaguna or sort) when it was being officially used for a few
days. Government tries to shun Chinese names. This racism happened in
around year 2000 or sort.

(41) 0 temples/churches were built for each housing estate. But every
housing estate MUST got at least one mosque/surau built.

(42) 3000 mosques/surau were built in all housing estates throughout
Malaysia since 1970 with full government support. No temples, no churches
are built in housing estates that supported by government.

(43) 1 Catholic Church in Shah Alam took 20 years to apply to be
constructed. But told by Malay authority that it must look like a factory
and can't look like a church. Still not yet approved since 2004.

(44) 1 publishing of Bible in Iban language banned (in 2002)

(45) 0 of the government TV stations (RTM1, RTM2, and TV3) have directors
of non-Malays origin.

(46) 30 government produced TV dramas and films always showed that the
bad guys had Chinese face, and the good guys had Malay face. You can
check it out since 1970s. Recent years, this tendency becomes less.

(47) 10 times, at least, Malays (especially Umno) had threatened to
massacre the Chinese Malaysians using May 13 since 1969.

It is August 27th. 4 Days more till Malaysia's 50th Independence/Anniversary or Birthday whichever suits you the most. A layman would think we are all hyped in celebration like how the USA has its 4th of July. But that is mainly wrong. Independence means so little now. It is now just another holiday so we go out have a 3 day vacation somewhere and come back happy. People think everything is going smoothly in the country. But behind the curtains, is a sick country. A dying country. Many people do not know about this because it is not published in the main stream media. It is not shown in your newspapers like The Star, NST, Berita Harian, Sin Chew Jit Poh and others. It is not shown on the television. Not on Channel 1,2,3, NTV7, 8TV, ASTRO. Why is this happening? It is because of censorship rules. You can find a glimpse of what the country is going through in the Sun ( free newspaper). Subtle but it is there.

You dont see posts on the oppositions view on certain issues or to be fair on most issues. The country is now not governed by the Parliment but more from a Political group. Which group you want to think it is I leave it to your imagination. We barely see what is going on in the Parliment because we do not have access to view it. If we had, our eyes would be opened. If you look at the news properly, there are only 3 things which are printed to keep us away from the real deal. First is sports since sports is an everyday talk subject in the country. Secondly news which makes us feel good about being a Malaysian aka Feel Good News. Third and lastly news which will make the people support a certain political party and to make people hate the opposition parties.

What seems to be the biggest hu-ha in the country now shown by the news. Negarakuku, NS for PMR students, Bus accidents, our Astronaut going to space, Jesus holding a beer and cigar and of course the Malaysia's 50th independance. First and foremost. Negarakuku, so it has been quite long already. The man apologized and now we are going to charge him. For what? singing the song in a way which insults the national anthem. Now we are trying to arrest him for sedition, try to take away his citizenship or throw him under ISA. Is it that hard to forgive the man? Give it a break. Now i am not saying he should not have done the rap song but I understand.

NS for PMR students another waste of taxpayers money?? Most definately. Najib's so called way of bringing people together as 1. As far as I know how do you instill the Malaysian spirit in students by throwing them into a fun fun camp for 3 months? All they do is just run around, shoot 1 bullet, eat and sleep together, go for trekking and watever nonsense. It is just a way to make money only. Who is the caterer for the canteen go and look it up yourself and you will see what i mean. The NS suit...a joke. Its like putting a clown in the jungle and telling him to hide. NS is so badly managed I wonder how it is runned. Bus accidents are a definate highlight in Malaysian news. There is 1 every week if not every 2 weeks. And it increases during holiday seasons. All i have to say is how do these people get their license? They can even manage to crash onto oncoming vehicles. 1 answer is duit kopi nuff said.

Our Astronaut going to space......to do what? Play gasing and do teh tarik. Have some common sense lah. You spend millions just to send him up there to play. The person who organized it must be high on drugs or a complete retard. Caricature of Jesus with beer and cigar. We Christians have forgiven and say it is the past let it go. However the government say no we have to suspend it. Of course just to keep out minds off the rasuah, racism, sexism, and watever other nonsense which goes on in the government.

How long more can the Country take? Another 20 years?? Another 30 years?? Another 50 years?? Not long i presume. Something has to be done about it. Abdullah says he is doing something about it but when you ask him only 3 words come out. 'SAYA TAK TAU'. If he was to be polled i would say he is the most clueless Prime Minister ever. Something happened.......

Friday was like the normal usual day....boring nothing fun going on then it happened all of a sudden. 2 unlikely events which made the day none the less fun. Well if i said what happened u wouldnt believe me anyway. Both happend in the same day.

1st fun thing to happen.......BOMB THREAT
yes its true there was a bomb threat. the bombs were concealed in a 1.5L coke bottle. and it went off at the bus exchange. we dont have a subway or train so i guess the bus exchange was the main target. the janitor who found it got hurt suffered injuries to his hand and face. it went off at about 3.15pm. well you might say luckily no one other than the janitor got hurt. but what happens if there are 4 of these little bombs in the bus exchange. yeappp 4 of them. police came down and sealed the whole area off for about 2 hours had the bomb sniffin doggies.....how to doggies snif for bombs anyway. if a dog was sniffing for drugs the dog has to be high already when it snifs the drugs. kinda weird. anyway thats the conclusion of part 1 of 2 of the fun things which happend.

2nd fun thing to happen.......BANK ROBBERY
yeapp of all things a man decided to rob the bank behind the bus exchange. had police in the area already and still wanna rob the bank....... be smart man do it another day and wear a mask and dont look at the camera. the guy got caught like instantly and is now in jail.

was in the city at night just hanging around kinda was like a cop patrollin the bus exchange area like once every hour just to make sure its safe.......they looking at video tapes to see who left the bomb in the bus place. apparently the bomb contained either dry ice or liquid nitrogen....no idea how they make bombs outta it but hey at least its much more fun. a bit of panic keeps the police on them toes.

i wonder what is the next thing to happen in the city.......maybe drive by shooting, kidnapping or some kinda act of terrorism...i'm a sadist for thinking these things as cool. lookin forward to the next fun thing to happen in the garden city.......maybe the casino gets robbed that would be fun

Supposed to be doing my assignment and looking at some other nonsense to draw out some stuff for assignment. Past few days were sucky as i felt totally unmotivated to do anything. Maybe a mood swing...tend to get a lot these days. But i blame it all on my lack of milo. Ran outta milo like 2 days ago so kinda lost my hype to do anything. Then again i am always a lazy bugger. Wish i was back home to be able to attend my cousin's wedding. Fella dun wanna entertain my orders to wait till i balik....sigh oh well. 2nd wedding i missed this year....crap.

Friday 2 machas are gonna go collect Herbie...sat is makan wif maybe a simpsons movie. Assignment due on Monday and another in like 2 weeks later. Tests coming up soon i have to study. Stop being on the comp also. Just whack some songs up. I need to get out of NZ it aint doin me any good just killing my mood all the time.

Everyone is so hyped up about some dumb Harry Pothead book and movie. Just a lousy kids book where u have some retarded kid running around acting like rambo with 2 side characters waving a piece of wood and saying some crap and poop shoots outta the wand. Why do ppl like it anyway weird. The main characters should die i say die. Crush them kids dream of being a wizard or witch or some mud crap.

Things back home have gone from bad to worse. Politicians are making up nonsense. Local uni ppl having to sign some dumb declaration that they would be loyal to the country....wth has Malaysia turned into some kinda country with a shadow government behind it or is it just some ppl trying to impose their views on others. Nobody knows. The economy isnt moving anywhere coz we dont want to improve ourselves instead we just put on some fancy dress and spew a bunch of crap.

Malaysia boleh?? as if man. Gaya ada Mutu tak ada. Samyvellu saying some nonsense about the heavy rain and the roof cannot hold it. Bullshit. I bet i can do a better job. Even colonial houses and old buildings have held more rain in its life than the damn Parliment did. Samy had like millions to repair it and now is asking for more....someone please explain the logic in it. 12 million more. so 4 million or more like 40k is spent on repairs then the rest is in the pocket. I bet in the next 1-2 years he would be asking for more to fix the Parliment again.

Now ISA can be used against bloggers. Smart move. Ppl would just end up moving out of Malaysia and continue slanting the government. If the government has nothing to hide then it wouldnt need the ISA and Nazri being all dumb and retarded. Using ISA would only cause more problems and there will be international interventions. So much for our freedom of speech. More like u get limited freedom of speech while we the govt censor and edit watever you say to make us look like the good guys. Every govt in the world has its bad sides and Malaysia just doesnt dare to show it cause its full of corruption and nonsensical bullshit.

Najib being all high and mighty saying stuff which will cause interracial problems. Like as if the country doesnt have enough problems. Then later telling MCA to shut up and dont talk about it. I do agree that the country has a mainly muslim population and that we do run the govt in a sort of a muslim way. But it has other races as well and as the founding father Tunku Abdul Rahman said it is a secular country. It is even in the constitution. Now we are abandoning the constitution for some stuff you think is right....stupidity at its highest level.

went for PK bday yesterday. makan at mexican cafe. supposed to go down to dunedin but coz of timetables clashes and lack of funding we didnt........then again its a good thing i guess.

so we went to makan at about 830 ish but it was full so we went down to a bar to wait for the table to clear. had a vanilla martini....wanted a dry matini but didnt know what the recipe is so too bad. so after waiting about 1 hour we got a table at mexican cafe. the food was not bad it was filling. good to make you full. to the point u go ahh nice full not the soo full cannot eat anymore.

after that went clubbin. arrived there at about 1130 but club was quite empty so we just waited and by 1230 ppl started coming in......just about time i guess. maybe coz canter students havent started uni yet so they are just chillin. finished about 330 and reached back about 4ish

Relationships why do we have it? Love why do we love, fall in love, fall out of love. People have always gone in and out of relationships in their lives. Not talking about family or friends but more like boy friend and girl friend relationship and the furthermore into marriage. People are simple beings and in a way flawed in many ways. Why do we love? Its because we have a sense to belong. We want to have a person next to you to know you to be with you and to love you. We want people to know more about us. Not all but just a certain individual. To know everything so when you see them they know when you are happy when you are sad so on and so forth whole package basically.

We are weak so we always have to depend on someone or something to help us along our life. Some are weak in a sense that when they have enough of the relationship thing they just end up being alone. People have their own reasons. Maybe they didnt find somebody, maybe someone broke their heart until it cant be fixed, some just want to be alone and some just were never asked out, some just want to work and build their career and some other reasons i may have missed.

Now i see people who are in good relationships, bad relationships, some just had enough of it they just want to enjoy it alone, and of course some are getting married. I have 2 cousins getting married like in less than 2 months time congratulations to them. But i am no focusing on them. Congrats to them though.

Now i see my friends who are in relationships. If its good then good for you. If its bad then why dont you stop? Why do you go on and cling to this so called fake hope like things will be better?? I know people who have been in rough relationships. I have been in one which i got dumped but i cant give 2 shits about it right now anyway. Things i watch do disturb me. Things i hear disturb me just as bad.

People fall in love because they want someone to know them well. They also want to know the other person just as well. Share things together, talk for hours, buy presents and stuff, go for a walk and stuff. Well there are nice things in life, beautiful things in life more than the ugly things in life. Our lives are just as short as a candle in the wind waiting to be blown out and we try to enjoy it as much as we can.

They say its better to love and lost then to not have loved at all. Maybe its true maybe its not. It could be better to not have experienced something bittersweet than to experience it. I have been here in NZ for a bit now and i could say my views have changed. It could be twisted and maybe it is but I am sort of enjoying it. The loneliness is good. It is good not having someone to cling to you. It feels very troublesome because you have to take care of the person's feelings and you have to do things for that person to make that person happy. Then you have to take care of what you say because even the slightest mistake can cause an argument. Shit happens. Guys do their best to understand girls....most of the time maybe girls try to do the same. Its like when a guy says yes it means yes and a no means a no. When a girl says yes then it either means yes or if you do it you are so in trouble. When she says no it means yes or no. Very confusing and vexating.

so cooking has been like a fav hobby of mine....yes i aint lying would have studied culinary arts instead of business. many thanks to mom, grandpa and grandma for teaching me cooking...and tons of time on the tv watching cooking shows. i do like them and i still do. cooking is fun so now i decided to move on a step....baking....not bad for a first attempt cookies came out a bit burnt on the sides but still very edible and maintained its flavour. got to say thanks to my mom for that her baking skills are like number 1. so decided to hit on some cookies to make. since its holidays i got too much time on my hands and of course i have like some other cookie dough stuff in the cupboard. thanks to mon for reintro me to the baking world from her superb cookies.....then again its instant stuff but who cares its just as good. no my stuff never goes burnt coz i time it to near perfection. of course ppl would be saying show me lah ur skills. i have pics to prove it and prove it i will hahahahah

hehe baked to prefection. or near prefection. next time when i make some char siew i guess i could blog it and show you my cookin skills. grandma's recipe with my own added stuff to make things a lot nicer. if ur lucky maybe i will bake for you. only baked for a few ppl which are my flatmates. waiting for a bum to come back so we can do muffins....muffinssss

Of Books, a Macha and a Crappy Haircut

so far the week has been relatively.....so so boredness couldnt kill me yet but still its boring. went to whitcols or watever u spell it watcold??watcool? tofufa-ness oh well i ended up buying 2 books to read...yes surprisingly since i dun like to read much. haha.started reading killing floor first...dun ask why its title was just much more fun and interesting than panic which is blood red. the book ended up like some kinda rambo book....plenty of espionage though. might end up buying the next book.

yesterday i went to celebrate Joshua's bday at 2 fat indians. yes its a restaurant and i aint making fun of any machas. after that we left for the casino...yes sad to say i played. won 5 bucks haha. gambling is a sin....first and last time i am playing. then we headed for shooters to play pool and after a while we left and stayed at ancestral drinking bubble tea and playing cards.

there was a party on friday nearby so there was definately some drinking going on. so me and the 2 machas(josh and pk) went on to minum. we had some gin then was forced to drink like say 2 cups of whisky....not with coke just plain.....a bit too much for me coz i dun like the taste of plain whisky. we ate at mcd's earlier so unfortunately we were sober the whole time. should that be fortunately?????? oh well who cares. the party was broken up the the dumb RA's even though we had permission to have it.

oh i had a haircut also i cant say i am all that happy about it. it disables me from doing the hairstylo i had.

ok so left is before and right is after. see how short it is now die. now can barely push hair back. no more hair cutting. arghhhhh now i'm hungry....maybe i should go bake some cookies later for the fun of it. yes i am bored to that extent.

After exams were over i have not done anything. Sienz to the max. Few things which i can do only. Read my story books, sit in front of comp and stare blankly into it, watch some movies, download stuff, sleep. this is boredom at its maximum. even if i do go to the city there isnt much i can do since everything is closed. arghhhhh someone please suggest something for me to do !!!!!

maybe i'll start drawing again that will take up tons of my time or i can go study mandarin/japanese
